Ekaterina Shamak is is a Russian singer and vocal coach who can’t speak a word of English, and you’d think that would impede enjoyment of these video reviews she made for some of October’s best albums.

You would, however, be wrong.

Converge alerted us to Shamak when they tweeted her delightfully expressive review of their new album All You Love You Leave Behind, which was reportedly pretty positive.

So fun, and not just in an ironic, “hey she’s old and isn’t speaking English!” kind of way, either. She’s clearly enjoying the album, if not for its music than for its unfamiliarity, so we decided to see what other albums she looked into. The Converge review is the obvious highlight, but you can’t help but be curious what’s going on when Death Grips’ NO LOVE DEEP WEB seems to send shivers down her spine, or by what happened in Godspeed You! Black Emperor’s new album that led to this reaction:
