Hey, look! It’s Lana Del Rey doing things in slow motion! And she brought a fog machine!

And hey, look! It’s the Weekend! He brought balloons! And a sexy woman in her underpants!

There’s nothing wrong with either video, though Lana Del Rey still insists on capping her clips off as blocky, low-resolution blobs, but at this point the shtick’s gotten a little old, especially since she’s still essentially peddling Born to Die. At least “Bel Air” is a new song, the same for which can’t be said about Abel Tesfaye’s new video.

He directed the visuals for Tuesday cut “The Zone” all by himself, enlisting good buddy Drake to perhaps help distract from the fact that he’s still milking the mixtapes he put out last year.

The Paradise Edition of Lana Del Rey’s Born to Die is in stores November 12th. One day later, The Weeknd releases Trilogy. Hopefully that’s the last of them before they get a new album out there.
