Former Iron Maiden vocalist Paul Di’Anno was in Ukraine earlier this month when a fan seemed to start heckling him about Bruce Dickinson. Di’Anno was respectful, of course, telling the audience how much he respects his fellow vocalist and giving a quick appreciation for his time spent with the band JUST KIDDING.

What he actually did was first joke about how he doesn’t sing opera before breaking into “Run To The Hills,” which was innocent and fun. But still bitter as ever, Di’Anno then took the joke too far.

“Too fucking easy,” he said, “and I’m not gay.”

Also not gay? Bruce Dickinson.

Di’Anno then went on a weird, misguided rant about how Iron Maiden were punk before they became “a money-making machine,” a diatribe the Ukranian crowd probably neither understood nor cared for.

It didn’t end there, though, as Di’Anno then challenged the guy to a fight, smiling but at least a little bit serious. Then he proceeded to call the heckler (who was trying to apologize) a “gay motherfucking faggot,” gave him the finger and told him to kiss his ass. Hilariously, the heckler replied with a pretty loud and simple “no.”

And then, four minutes later, he finally broke into “Running Free.” Don’t worry, though, because he still spent most of the song gesturing like an angry kid who got the wrong kind of jam sandwich for lunch. Thanks (we think) to MetalSucks for drawing our attention to this hilarious (and pathetic) tantrum from a grown-ass man.
