Wayne Coyne is no stranger to poor decisions, but last week he crossed the stupidity threshold when he reportedly brought a grenade to Oklahoma City’s Will Rogers Airport.

While he tweeted about the ‘nade last week, no one really thought much of it. At this point, it makes sense to just gloss over most of what Coyne rambles about. But then, yesterday, Oklahoma City based blog the Lost Ogle looked into it a little closer.

Not only did Coyne’s stupid stunt cause a panic in the airport, leading the TSA to shut down the concourse, but an innocent bystander had to spend $1000 on a new plane ticket because of it.

“I was stuck near the food court, wasn’t able to cross the airport to get to my gate. Flight left without me, all because of Wayne Coyne,” said the source. “I think Wayne Coyne should reimburse me, at a minimum I want to drop acid with him and Yoko Ono. Can you help me out to let Wayne know that his music is fucking weird and I could use that $1000 ASAP. Thanks”

The source, or mole as they call it, says at least 4 other people on the flight were left behind, adding that the extra ticket was necessary because there were no more flights to Vegas until Monday. All of this happened on Saturday, November 10th. A couple photos were included. Above, you can see security blocking off the concourse in question. Head to The Lost Ogle to another. [via Stereogum]
