Did someone just bid $50,000 for Title Fight's new record?

Short answer? Yes. There’s your proof in the above image in case the now-closed auction gets taken down.

We’re assuming there’s a backstory as to why somebody just bid $50,000 to win what looks like a standard retail copy of Title Fight’s new record… we just don’t know what it is.

Since it’s a limited edition of Floral Green held to only 150 copies, there’s some speculation that the bids were driven up to hold off a quick-flip of the itemed copy. If anything, this highlights two possible problems with eBay’s current system: that a pretty regular record could sell for this much, and that the winning bidder is probably not going to pay it. There’s no real consequence for driving up the price, and if that isn’t the case, there’s such a thing as having too much money.

Certainly Floral Green is a great record, with “Secret Society” being a personal favourite (that’s its incredibly gross video below), but it’s definitely not $50,000 great.
