Track Of The Week: "Paradise" by Wild Nothing
by Chris Budd
October 26, 2012
I’m not sure why I missed this track the first time around, but if you put the song to a video of Michelle Williams, I’ll notice.
Here’s “Paradise” from Wild Nothing, off the album Nocturne (Captured Tracks). The new record is the follow-up release to Wild Nothing’s critically acclaimed debut Gemini and “it is a strange and distinctive musical beast, the product of an obsessive pop vision that creates its own reality.”
The video was shot on Japanese Harinezumi cameras and features a new edit of the song, with Michelle Williams reading from Iris Murdoch’s A Word Child.
