Because he’s an outspoken supporter of Barack Obama, Bruce Springsteen took the initiative of writing a song for the US President’s race for re-election. The problem is the song sucks.

If it wasn’t bad enough that the lead single off his last album sounded like it was written for a State Farm commercial, this new one, which is hopefully a joke, sounds like it was written by-and-for a class of six-year-olds. In it, the Boss asks the crowd to yell out “forward!” as he rhymes the President’s name with words like mama, drama, pyjamas and yes, even Osama. We’re sure Barack’s absolutely ecstatic to have a skittish nation reminded that his name rhymes with that of its former public enemy #1, even if he did have a hand in offing the guy.
