Gwar have been teasing new guitarist Pustulus Maximus for months, and while they “officially” unveiled him yesterday, this video showing the intergalactic gore-mongers covering Kansas’ “Carry On Wayward Son” is probably the best introduction we could ask for.

Front-monster Oderus Urungus describes Kansas as “70s crappy crap crap crap rock,” adding that they were a big part of music where bands were named after geographical locations, adding that he hopes it never happens again because “those bands suck.”

Okay, so Gwar barely fit in the AV Club‘s Undercover room, meaning the camera really struggles to get them all in the frame, but you know what? It’s a ton of fun, even if it is lacking in blood, pus and any other fluids you’d usually find in a Gwar performance.

For posterity’s sake, that’s Pustulus up top, but we still strongly encourage you check out their cover below. If the video isn’t working, head here to watch it in full.
