Deltron Event II, the follow-up to the acclaimed narrative debut from Deltron 3030, has been a long time coming. Announced in 2006, its shifting release schedule has it currently pegged for November 2012. Comprised of Del the Funky Homosapien, Kid Koala, and Dan the Automator, the defacto supergroup started playing the album live this summer, so its release feels more imminent than ever.

Before performing the album in Quebec City at the annual Festival d’ete, Del walked us through the rough thematic outline of the album, the sequel to a record as hailed for its creative storytelling as its experimental sonic textures.

You’ll be able to watch more with Del and Dan the Automator in the November issue of AUX Magazine. Or, whenever Deltron Event II actually comes out.
