While we still kind of think Bruce Springsteen’s “We Take Care of Our Own” sounds like it was written for a State Farm commercial, US President Barack Obama used the track in his speech at the Democratic National Convention last week, and obviously people like it a lot because Billboard reports that the Boss is reaping the benefits with the single’s sales rising by 409 percent in the days since.

The report says that the song sold 2,000 downloads, and the album it’s off of, Wrecking Ball, rose 87 spots on the charts after selling 3,000 copies, launching it to the 112th spot on Billboard’s Top 200.

Unfortunately we cannot confirm a spike in chair sales following Clint Eastwood’s speech at the Republican convention, but it does seem like Bill Clinton’s talk has sparked interest in this great mash-up of M83’s “Midnight City” and his old performance on Arsenio Hall.
