A Hollywood boutique shop owner who successfully raised Kickstarter funds to print a new Charles Manson now has it for sale in his store.

Just Fucking Around contains untitled, previously unheard recordings from the convicted killer, songs recorded “in the 1980s in a room above the prison chapel at California Medical Facility in Vacaville,” and are complimented with poetry and commentary. The original tape circulated between a few people for years before Vasquez obtained the tape last year.

Vasquez, who became interested in the case in his teens, later befriended Manson and received his encouragement on the project. During the fundraising, the $1,000 incentive pledge included a “full size tattoo” of Manson. There were two backers at this level.

The vinyl packaging contains artwork from Manson as well as a fellow inmate. Vasquez says they’re selling well enough to consider a second pressing, even though the music won’t appeal to everyone. [via L.A. Times]
