Rumors are flying like elbows at an old school Blink-182 or Green Day show that the two pop punk bands are planning to tour together for the first time since their Pop Disaster Tour in 2002.

Rumors are flying like elbows at an old school Blink-182 or Green Day show that the two pop punk bands are planning to tour together for the first time since their Pop Disaster Tour in 2002.

Speculation has been fueled by an Instagram photo from Tom Delonge of the vintage Blink-182 bunny with the caption “Some big news coming,” and because the Pop Disaster Tour website has been updated for the first time in a long time. Mark Hoppus of Blink commented “At this time there is no truth to that rumor.” But maybe that’s just more fancy wordplay, like when they named that album “Take Off Your Pants And Jacket.” You should have seen the soup spit-take my dad did when I told him that one!

For now, you’ll have to enjoy Green Day all by their lonesome. Sucks, right? They just announced the first leg of dates on their ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tre! tour in support of the trilogy of albums by the same names. It starts in Seattle, Washington and ends in Tempe, Arizona. For their part, Blink-182 has announced that they’ve begun recording new material. Hooray! Do “Anthem Part 3.” I need the closure that Part 2 failed to provide.
