Drake promised to debut a new song featuring vocals by Aaliyah this weekend at OVO Fest, and just moments before Drizzy hit the stage, a recording of the single hit the web. “Enough Said” is produced by Drake’s right-hand man Noah “40″ Shebib, and features his signature subdued swirling synths and 808 tom samples. Do you think Drake has what it takes to make this Aaliyah album a hit, or will his fan-boy mentality get the best of him?

Drake promised to debut a new song featuring vocals by Aaliyah this weekend at OVO Fest, and just moments before Drizzy hit the stage, a recording of the single hit the web.

“Enough Said” is produced by Drake’s right-hand man Noah “40” Shebib, and features his signature subdued swirling synths and 808 tom samples. Drake’s love for Aaliyah is no secret — he has a tattoo of her on his back, and he sampled the late singer on Thank Me Later. Now Drake has taken his appreciation to the next level, by signing on to executive-produce Aaliyah’s next posthumous album.

Before you wonder where Timbaland and Missy Elliot are at, it’s been announced that Timbaland will be handling production on two songs for the record. That should soothe any initial skepticism Aaliyah fans have about the record; it just wouldn’t be right to have a new Aaliyah record without the presence of Timbo & Missy.

In addition to giving “Enough Said” its live debut at OVO Fest, Drake was also joined on stage by Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg Lion, Rick Ross (who has never missed an OVO Fest), 2 Chainz, A$AP Rocky, French Montana, Waka Flocka Flame, and Meek Mill.

Check out “Enough Said” below. Do you think Drake has what it takes to make this Aaliyah album a hit, or will his fan-boy mentality get the best of him?
