He’s still in jail. He still hasn’t been charged. We’ve heard the story, we’ve told the story and we’ve been mad the entire time. But now the wrongful imprisonment—because one month behind bars without a formal charge is wrong—has started to affect the country’s music scene, with hardcore stalwarts Terror announcing today that they’ve cancelled their gig at Barrak Music Club in Ostrava as a show of solidarity for the Lamb of God frontman.

“We feel obligated to stand up for Randy Blythe. This situation seems to be taken too lightly,” read a statement released by the band, which you can read in full above.

“Randy comes from punk and hardcore roots, just like TERROR. He still supports underground music and has always supported TERROR — even singing on stage alongside us when we play Richmond.”

Is this fair for Terror’s fans? No, probably not. But fairness went out the window when Blythe’s bail was denied, doubled, then denied again, all without a charge.
