Gotye releases YouTube super-medley of "Somebody That I Used to Know"

Walk Off the Earth’s cover of “Somebody That I Used to Know” is thought to have had a hand in the original song’s eventual, astronomical success, with the viral video’s popularity propelling the its unmistakeable hook into the ears of millions. Millions who, it would seem, were desperate for such similar successes. Before long, the internet was filled with hundreds upon dozens of Gotye covers. But from the one that started it all to whatever the hell this is, Gotye’s remained mostly silent through it all. Until now.
Call this the end of the trend, because the man behind the original tune has decided to make the ultimate interpretation, tossing together over 100 covers and parodies of the track it into one six minute mega-medley, hopefully propelling the song to an overdue and well deserved death. This clearly took a lot of effort to make, so it’s definitely worth watching (above). Check out the list of what he included here.
