No, the members of Bad Religion didn’t secretly tailgate NASA’s Curiosity Rover all the way to the Red Planet, but their names were all scrawled on one of its microchips thanks to superfan-turned-astronaut Jerry Stoces, who says he listened to Bad Religion throughout his training. It’s a pretty big honour for a bunch of solid dudes and super dorks, but it got us thinking… who else should have had the chance to make their way to space?

The first and perhaps only obvious answer is David Bowie, or Ziggy Stardust, but if there’s any one else you think fits the bill as a space cadet, don’t hesitate to let us know.
