1970s rock magazine wonders if its cover stars will make it through the decade

And surprisingly, most of them did.

Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix all died within the year(ish), and Elvis Presley was found dead 7 years after that, but otherwise everyone else on the list made the cut, including John Lennon, who was shot and killed in December of 1980.

In fact other than John Lennon, George Harrison and Johnny Cash, everyone on the list who didn’t die in the 70s is still alive and kicking. John Mayall is the oldest, at 78, and he’s actually still performing! Also, we should probably point out the “approaching 30” cutline on the cover. Look close. Now look… closer.
