#4: Katy Perry – Wide Awake

Imagine everything smelled like smelts.

FUN FACT: Katy Perry: Part Of Me 3D was released yesterday, and some people are arguing that it’s a better 3D concert film than Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never. Check out our patented Part Of Me vs. Never Say Never Fact Sheet for a detailed breakdown of the differences between the films.

#82: Drake – Crew Love

Anyone else think this is aimed at Chris Brown? Chris Brown just rattled off a Drake diss freestyle, and it seems like Drake doesn’t feel the need to respond. Chris Brown’s abysmal sales figures from Fortune should be enough to help Drake sleep at night. With a projected 140,000 units sold in his first week, Brown falls drastically short of Take Care‘s 700,000.

FUN FACT: Drake is voicing a woolly mammoth in the upcoming animated feature film Ice Age 4: Continental Drift. Click here to see Drake recording some ridiculous lines in the studio, including “you got some crazy posum-ness going on.”

#3: Gotye – Somebody That I Used To Know feat. Kimbra

Gotye’s a big Pink fan, AND he’s got a pulse? Does not compute.

FUN FACT: You know you’ve really made it when there’s a death rumour spreading about you on Twitter. Due to a story submitted on CNN’s iReport feature, which publishes user-submitted news stories, a rumour that Gotye comitted suicide spread like wildfire last week. Gotye debunked the rumour via Twitter, but his bandmate Tim Shiel seemed to have fun with it:

#59 (R&B/Hip-Hop Albums): Tyler, the Creator – Goblin

Always a class act, Tyler, the Creator can’t congratulate his pal Frank Ocean without using the word “toilet.”

FUN FACT: Tyler just released a mixtape called Summer Camp: Songs That Didn’t Make The First Mix. Download it at the Odd Future Tumblr.

#59 (R&B/Hip-Hop Songs): Frank Ocean – Thinkin’ Bout You

Frank Ocean made history this week, in a manner that was as sincere, poetic, and articulate as his music. [FULL STORY]

FUN FACT: Frank’s new album Channel Orange comes out on July 17th, 2012.
