SCION SESSIONS: Doldrums at Sled Island in Calgary

We caught up with Scion Sessions in Calgary, as Doldrums prepared for his performance on the last night of Sled Island, now in its sixth year of bringing artists from all genres and eras to the Albertan music capital.

Doldrums, the musical nom de plume for Airick Woodhead’s dense, dreamy production experiments, has had a banner year. High profile collaborations on acclaimed albums by Grimes and Cadence Weapon have translated into a cascade of fawning features in press both mainstream and online, building excitement for his own recently-released EP, Egypt.
