Hannah Georgas announced today that she’ll release her self-titled, sophomore album on October 2nd through Dine Alone, which was announced as her new label in a press release earlier today.
Georgas recorded the follow-up to 2010’s Polaris longlisted This Is Good over the fall of 2011 and describes it as a more electronic and atmospheric approach to her sound.
“During the writing process, I realized that I wanted these songs to have their space and be able to breathe,” she says, adding that while “there are a great deal of electronic sounds and components to the songs, [producer Graham Walsh] and I both wanted to create and be able to play everything in a live setting.”
If you’re curious by all of this, download the album’s first single, “Enemies,” below. Head here to give it a listen.
