The latest video from the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ album I’m With You is for the song “Brendan’s Death Song,” a tribute to the band’s longtime friend Brendan Mullen, a reknowned L.A. booker who fostered the early careers of bands such as the Chili Peppers and the Germs and Go Go’s, and who died of a stroke in 2009.
The video, shot in one day in New Orleans and directed by Marc Klasfeld, mirrors the sombre tone of the song, with the band leading a heavily decorated funeral march of many. You can watch AUX’s Canadian premiere of the video below.
