The Melvins will try to play U.S.A. in 51 days

The Melvins have decided to try their hand at breaking a world record with a new announcement that the “lite” version of their band will try to play every U.S. state in 51 days.

Consisting of Buzz Osborne, Dale Crover and Trevor Dunn, the Melvins Lite will be touring their newly released Freak Puke, their first together. Sort of?

While the record breaking gigs don’t start until September 5th, the band is scheduled to play a handful of Canadian dates in July. Look for those below. Head over to Consequence of Sound to see the full list of US dates slated for the band’s record breaking tour, which will take them them Anchorage, Alaska all the way to Honolulu, Hawaii.
