Amanda Palmer shattered expectations when her Kickstarter project raised $1 million dollars and today its first single surfaced online. “Do It With a Rockstar” is a mix of Palmer’s usual eccentricities with the added volume of her new band, the Grand Theft Orchestra.

Only then will we know if the million dollars was worth it (since it’s funding the album, its huge cast of musicians, an art book and an ensuing global tour, we’d say yes, it probably was).
