There are these posters running throughout Toronto asking how you’ll remember the War of 1812 on its bicentennial, and if the line-up for the first ever Toronto Riot Fest is any indication, the answer is by tearing up the grass and spilling beer all over the city’s Historic Fort York.

Set to run on September 9th, the line-up is looking pretty stellar, with Descendents, NOFX, Fucked Up, Hot Water Music and Andrew W.K. taking top billing. Junior Battles, Less Than Jake, the Lawrence Arms, Mockingbird, Wish Me Luck and Organ Thieves round out the list for the day long gig, which takes place at Fort York’s Garrison Common.

Tickets for the fest go on sale this Friday, June 15th. Though it’s the first Riot Fest north of the border, it’s been going on in the US for nearly a decade now, debuting in Chicago but also making the rounds to Philadelphia, Dallas and Brooklyn.
