Blur will perform two new songs via Twitter next week

On July 2, Blur will live stream a performance of two new songs, “Under the Westway” and “The Puritan,” via Twitter, after which the songs will made available digitally and as part of a new 7″, available on August 6.
Singer Damon Albarn said in a statement that he wrote the songs for the band’s upcoming Olympics set and is “really excited about getting out there and playing them for people.”
The performance will take place live from a “secret” location in the UK (marketing lab, we think). It will begin at 6:15 pm BST (12:15 pm EST) with one song, then an interview, then the second song at 7:15pm BST. Check out @blurofficial to watch. [via Consequence of Sound]
