We’ve mentioned the launch of AUX Magazine—our new monthly iPad magazine—only in passing previously, and as we near the magazine’s launch, we’re excited to share some more details.

The inaugural issue will take you behind the boards at Metric’s own Giant Studios (where they recorded their upcoming album Synthetica) in a series of candid videos and to the centre of Kid Koala’s recent Space Cadet tour in a 360° interactive photo. We’ll also have an extensive oral history of NXNE, as well as features on Japandroids, Cadence Weapon, Cold Specks, EL-P, Saint Vitus and a ton more, all specifically designed to take advantage of the magazine’s tablet-exclusive nature.

The official launch party takes place in Toronto during NXNE with DJ sets by Diamond Rings, Bad Biz (members of Tokyo Police Club) and others to be announced.

AUX Magazine will be available as a free download from the iTunes Newstand. Stay tuned for more details!
