The Darkness let just the right amount of dust settle before announcing their reunion last year, and now following the release of first single “Nothin’s Gonna Stop Us” they’re ready to announce Hot Cakes, their first album since 2005’s One Way Ticket to Hell… and Back.

Due out on August 21st, Hot Cakes promises to be a return to the bombastic sound that made Permission to Land such an unexpected, half-ironic success. It’s produced by brothers Justin and Dan Hawkins and is mixed by Bob Ezrin, who’s best known for his work on Pink Floyd’s The Wall. If you missed it, watch the video for band’s “Nothin’s Gonna Stop Us” up top.
