What do Meek Mill, Drake, and Chris Brown all have in common? Hint: they’ve all stood under her umbrella. By “stood under her umbrella,” I mean they’ve shared a romantic connection, and by “her,” I mean Rihanna, of course. All three of these hip-hop moguls have been linked to Rihanna romantically in the past, and the twisted fallout of this common bond was all-too present on Twitter earlier this week.

Meek Mill was set to appear on the Chris Brown song “Don’t Judge Me,” an upcoming single from Fortune, until Breezy found out that Rihanna had been messing around with Meek Mill as of late. Chris Brown had Meek Mill’s verse removed from the final version of “Don’t Judge Me” last weekend, and when Meek Mill found out, he took to Twitter to vent.

This is the first time I’ve heard “watch the throne” used as a sexual euphemism, but I’ll meet Meek Mill half way on it. Chris Brown got the message too, immediately responding with a dig at Rihanna.

Dream Chasers is not only a phrase used to describe someone who constantly goes after things out of reach, it’s also the title of Meek Mill’s mixtape series. He fired back:

“Dese chicks belong 2 da game”? Hey now, Meek Mill. I’m not sure how big your signing bonus from Rick Ross was, but I’m pretty sure that Rihanna could own your ass ten times over.

Guess who decided to chime in, and get in on the Rihanna-bashing action?

I thought Drake was better than this. The passionate embraces he shared with Rihanna in the “What’s My Name?” and “Take Care” videos seemed so real. And now he’s on Twitter calling her a ho? This Twitter-beef is starting to feel like a giant boy’s club.

The sad thing is, an inherently misogynistic movie called We Get Gyals Easy starring Chris Brown, Meek Mill, and Drake would go over like gangbusters at the box office. We need a proper male role model in rap again. WHERE IS WILL SMITH WHEN YOU NEED HIM?

So not only has Rihanna been described as “easy” and a “ho,” she’s also been labelled as communal property. It’s reflective of a shameful truth about the way women are viewed in the hip-hop community. But what’s Rihanna’s take on it?

Damn right, girl.
