When Jay-Z posted a cryptic trailer for something called Made In America on YouTube, we thought it was going to be a Watch The Throne concert DVD, which would have been exciting enough. When it became clear that Jay-Z was actually curating his own music festival, it freaked our minds Criss Angel-style. Being the unofficial mayor of New York, Young Hov certainly has enough favours to call in to make Made In America one of the biggest festivals of the year.

While an unofficial lineup hit the web yesterday, Live Nation has announced an official preliminary lineup for the festival today. To take place on September 1st and 2nd in Philadelphia, here’s the initial star-studded lineup for Made In America:

Pearl Jam
Jay-Z
Skrillex
Miike Snow
Afrojack
Calvin Harris
Odd Future
D’Angelo
Maybach Music Group
Passion Pit
Santigold
Dirty Projectors
X
Janelle Monae
Prince Royce
Rita Ora
Savoy
The Knocks

We can only hope that they’re back on the announcement that Beyoncé is headlining the festival. We hear that Jay-Z has some pull with her.

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, so make sure you get your tickets and your road-trip vehicles sorted, because we have a feeling this is going to sell out fast.
