Jay-Z writing new songs for the Willow Smith starring 'Annie' remake

We’ve known that Will Smith was developing an Annie remake for his daughter Willow to star in for more than a year now, and we’d heard Jay-Z would be involved in some capacity, and today notions were strengthened by reports that the “Hard Knock Life” rapper is writing new songs for the upcoming flick, which is a much bigger undertaking than simply sampling one of the old songs. That said, we’re curious to hear how he tackles tracks like “Dumb Dog”. [via Bust]
