Handsome Furs' Dan Boeckner, Spoon's Britt Daniel, and New Bomb Turks' Sam Brown form new band Divine Fits

This just sounds like a very promising new band.

Just a few days after the Handsome Furs announced their split, Dan Boeckner’s newest project, with Britt Daniel from Spoon and Sam Brown from the New Bomb Turks has been revealed. The band is called Divine Fits, and plan to release an album on Merge Records later this year.

The only other information available now is that the forthcoming album was produced by Nick Launay, who has been an acclaimed producer for years, recently having worked on albums by Grinderman, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and the Cribs, as well as having mixed Arcade Fire’s the Suburbs.
