Band in a Box is an AUX original web series that asks bands to take us through the making of one of their music videos… while they’re displayed in a box inside said music video. Cool name, right?

“We are Young” is the first Billboard-charting number one single by a rock band since 2008. Let that soak in. Culled from Some Nights, the sophomore album from New York-based fun., the song has undoubtedly found its way into your life somehow since its unspectacular initial release in September of 2011. Ignored by radio and peaking at 53 on the Billboard Hot 100 before dropping off completely, “We Are Young” slow-burned into one of the biggest songs of 2012, appearing on Glee, in big-money Super Bowl ads, and, eventually, spending six straight weeks atop the Hot 100.
