On Sunday, the Atlanta Hawks were aiming to clinch an NBA playoff spot, and in order to do so, they had but one task -- beat the Toronto Raptors. Unbeknownst to the Hawks, there was more riding on that game than their 2012 playoff hopes. R&B hitmaker The-Dream, a.k.a. R&B hitmaker The-Dream, a.k.a. Terius Nash, made a bet with one of his friends that if the Atlanta Hawks didn’t make the playoffs, he would dye his beard blonde. Once the Hawks fell to the Raptors 102-86, The-Dream proved that he held up his end of the bargain with a tweet:

It turns out the Radio Killa looks totally weird with a platinum blonde beard. The red cap actually makes him look kind of festive, like a suave R&B elf bumpin’ slow jams at the North Pole after hours.

And just like that, The-Dream sought to regain the delicate balance of his aesthetic, to re-align his mojo.

Wala! That didn’t last long. I guess The-Dream knew how goofy he looked with a curly white beard. I kind of hoped that when he posted about looking for black dye, he was just going to put black dots in the beard so that his face was leopard print. Kind of like something Dennis Rodman might have done with no bet at all.

The-Dream’s new album LOVE IV is said to be released summer 2012, and “Kill The Lights” feat. Casha is the first single. Check out the video below:
