Bob Dylan’s Blood On the Tracks is perhaps the most poignant and powerful album in his 30+ album discography. Celebrated for its earnest—and sometimes volatile—bursts of raw emotion, the album is widely speculated to tell the story of Bob and Sara Dylan’s marital breakdown (“The songs are my parents talking,” said Jakob Dylan). And now the Hollywood Reporter says its reports that it’s all about to be made into a movie.

According to reports out of London, Brazil’s RT Features have secured the rights to make the album into a movie. So far details are scarce, but Rodrigo Teixeira and Fernando Loureiro are set to produce the feature, which in spite of its international development will be shot in English.

“As long time admirers of one of the greatest albums in the history of music, we feel privileged to be making this film,” said Teixeira of their current search for a director. “Our goal is to work with a filmmaker who can create a classic drama with characters and an environment that capture the feelings that the album inspires in all fans.”
