Yesterday in an alley at SXSW Austin, TX, AUX got the scoop on the upcoming Cadence Weapon album Hope In Dirt City, including some of his collaborators and its release date.

We’ve already heard some of Rollie Pemberton’s new collaborative music, including a track produced with Grimes, and there’s more on the way.

“It’s about a mysterious, corporate record industry machine that has destroyed music,” he says about the track with Buck 65. “It doesn’t exist. Or maybe it does!” Sneaky, Rollie. We can also expect to hear some work from Doldrums on the record.

He also sheds light on the production details as well as the release date for the album, which will be May 29. Check out the full (short) interview clip above.
