15 years ago today, Christopher Wallace—known, of course, as the Notorious B.I.G.— was shot dead in Los Angeles by a still unknown gunman. B.I.G. was killed waiting at a light in a car as he left a Soul Train Music Awards after party.

What’s maybe most remarkable about the Brooklyn MC’s legacy is just how potent it still is after only having made two albums—1994 produced his debut Ready to Die, and just two weeks after his death, second album Life After Death was released and went to number one on the Billboard charts.

Tonight, Wallace’s widow Faith Evans will hold a party in New York in his honour, while some of his closest friends and colleagues—as well as the ones he influenced—took to Twitter to remember today. Let us do the same.
