Montreal's Mutek festival announces its initial lineup with Tim Hecker, Nicolas Jaar, Jeff Mills, Blondes, and more

The 13th edition of Montreal’s Mutek festival has announced its initial line-up: Detroit electro legend Jeff Mills, Nicolas Jaar, and the UK’s Shackleton are set to headline, while Montreal’s Tim Hecker, Blondes, Sunn 0)))’s Stephen O’Malley, Mathew Jonson, Kode9, and lots more.

Mutek 2012 will showcase that “the sum of creative spirit is clearly larger than its individual contributions,” and will focus on the art of collaboration.

Mutek runs from May 30 to June 3 in Montreal; discount passes are currently available at Mutek’s website until April 17th, when the prices will go up. A five-day festival pass costs $195 plus tax and service charge, while just the weekend will cost you $110.
