Listen to two new songs from Lamb of God/DevilDriver side-project Born of the Storm

Newly announced Lamb of God/DevilDriver side-project Born of the Storm hasn’t wasted any time since first breaking onto the internet last week, with two songs by the band (“Nowhere Fast” and “Dust”) popping up online to give fans a taste of what to expect…assuming there’s an actual release coming sometime soon.

Formed by DevilDriver vocalist Dez Fafara and Lamb of God guitarist Mark Morton, there’s the chance that Born of the Storm might be little more than some fun on the side.

“[I]t ‘s two friends sending songs back and forth via email and just tinkering with stuff purely for fun,” says Morton. “It’s really not anythingwe are promoting, it’s not anything that we are necessarily working to release, it’s really just two friends having fun writing music.”
