Korn's Jonathan Davis releasing a solo electronic EP

This probably isn’t too surprising considering Korn’s recent Skrillex-assisted foray into dubstep—the band’s frontman Jonathan Davis is getting set to release a solo exectronic EP under his DJ moniker J Devil.

“It’s all these different genres,” he tells Rolling Stone. “I love electro, I love jungle, I love drum and bass, I love dubstep, so it’s a mixup of all that stuff.”

He says that its not as Skrillex-y as people will probably be expecting, though. “I like to come up with my own style, so I’m getting respect from lots of people.”

The EP is expected sometime this year on Dim Mak records.
