Perhaps to nobody’s surprise, JEFF the Brotherhood have announced that they’ll be taking part in Record Store Day with a new EP, the aptly titled Upstairs at United, Vol.3. What is surprising is that the release will temporarily round the two-piece up to five, with William Tyler on guitar, Loney Hutchins on keys and “crazy space sounds” (those are the press release’s words, not ours) and Joey Plunket on bass.

Upstairs at United, Vol. 3 was recorded in a single take upstairs at United Record Pressing in Nashville, Tennessee, and hits shelves on Record Store Day, April 21st. If you can’t wait to hear it, watch a bit of the band’s session at the top of this post (via Spin). Check below for the full tracklisting.

1. I’m a Freak (Wicked Lady cover)

2. In Space No One Can Hear You Scream, Part I

Side B:

3. In Space No One Can Hear You Scream, Part II

4. Master of the Universe (Hawkwind cover)

As for the band’s touring schedule, they’ll make the rounds across North America with Best Coast (see them in Vancouver at Commodore on May 23rd) before stopping in Montreal (at Il Motore on June 22nd) and Toronto (at Wrongbar on June 23rd).
