End Hits is a weekly podcast hosted by Sam Sutherland, featuring interviews with musicians and musician-types from a dining table in Toronto.

Our seventh episode of End Hits (listen to the rest another time) finds us out of the living room for the first time, taking off from snowy, sad Canada and spending some time in Tampa Bay with Bryon Lippincott of New Bruises and Kiss of Death Records. The guy behind seminal releases from bands like Monikers and No Friends, Lippincott’s own output, with both Bruises and his former band Mid Carson July, has been equally impressive over his long career in the DIY punk trenches. In this episode, we discuss his two hometowns, the ethics of rolling up to punk shows in a Mercedes, and then his dog attacks me on air (I mean, it just tries to lick my face uncontrollably, but “attack” reads as better copy).
