In non-Mountain Dew related SXSW madness, buzzworthy rapper A$AP Rocky’s set at SXSW had to be shut down when officially-sanctioned mosh pit violence degenerated into performer-vs-fans, not-cool violence.

At the Vice Killed Texas party, Rocky told the crowd to “feel free to mosh, feel free to slam dance”, adding that he did not give a fuck, nor had he any future plans to give one. Tension grew when a member of the A$AP Mob had his bandana snatched while crowd-surfing. After a verbal exchange between Rocky and the audience that saw the group pelted with cans of beer, they entered the crowd and started swinging. The police were called and the venue cleared, with at least one concert-goer getting hurt in the melee.

Here’s an extremely shaky video from when things started to spiral out of control. Pop a Gravol and enjoy!
