Rufus Wainwright will return later this year with new album Out Of The Game, and he’s announced some of the details behind it, including its big-name producer, Mark Ronson.
“[It’s] the most pop album I’ve ever made,” Wainwright said in a statement, while Ronson called it “the best work of my career.”
Along with the Ronson, Wainwright brought guests such as WIlco’s Nels Cline, the Dap-Kings, Yeah Yeah Yeah’s Nick Zinner, Sean Lennon, and Martha Wainwright. The album was recorded last fall in New York, and while a North American release hasn’t been confirmed, it has a release date of April 23 in the UK. [via Exclaim!]
