According to a recent interview, Ja Rule is having an awesome time in jail.

“Outside, you don’t meet guys like this every day. This place is amazing,” he told the New York Daily News, referring to all the rich businessmen he’s met in the pen.

In the interview, part of which you can watch above, the rapper talks about how former Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski encouraged him to seek proper education. Ja Rule, a highschool drop-out, had his GED not long after.

He also talks about finishing work on his next album, Pain is Love 2, which is due out sometime later this month.

The latest from Ja Rule’s well documented time behind bars, these new accounts differ wildly from the “Holla Holla” rapper’s last prison journal, which was filled with confrontations, self-actualization and flying dinner plates.

But in reading (and watching) this video it’s important to remember the distinction: this is rich people prison, so don’t get any ideas. As for Ja Rule, he’s slated to serve time until 2013. Lucky him, eh?
