The man who killed his mom over Avril Lavigne tickets gets 40 years in jail

In case you don’t remember this gem from a few years back, in 2008, Robert Lyons of Chicago stabbed his 61-year-old mom in the back nine times then tried to dissolve her body in chemicals after she wouldn’t call a friend of hers to get him box seats at an Avril Lavigne show.

This week, Lyons, now 39 (THIRTY NINE!), was found guilty of first-degree murder after a weeklong trial. It was reported that after he stabbed her and doused her in chemicals, he left the house to go shopping and was later found by Police at a Hooters.
