This year marks Talk Talk’s 30th anniversary, and to commemorate the influential Brits, members of Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, Weezer, Pink Floyd, Shearwater, Underworld, Orbital, the Clientele, and more are contributing to a tribute album and book.
The book will include Talk Talk lyrics as well as contributions from people who’ve been influenced by the band over the years.
As well, on May 28, a Talk Talk tribute album, also titled Spirit of Talk Talk, will be released, featuring contributions from many of the same people. A couple includ Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry covering “I Believe in You,” and Do Make Say Think with Broken Social Scene’s Kevin Drew and Weezer’s Patrick Wilson covering “New Grass.” [via Pitchfork]
