Fiona Apple's new album could be out in the next few weeks

I know, you’ll believe it when you see it. Us too. But in a tweet earlier this week, Epic Records boss L.A. Reid promised new music from the label in the coming weeks, and added “Welcome back Fiona!”

Apple told fans at a concert late last year that the album was in the can for a year. Reid’s tweet seems a bit misleading, considering there would undoubtedly be some promotional lead time on a new Fiona Apple album, but at the very least, it sounds like it’ll for sure be out in 2012.
