Like the idea behind Mariachi El Bronx, the video for “48 Roses” is very silly. Like their music, it’s pulled off with a surprisingly straight face.
The punk rock rockers turned Mexican music traditionalists collaborated with Funny or Die for the video, a four minute romp which has the band performing on Conan as a backdrop to the sexual escapades of a man that, twist withholding, is no man at all. Don’t let the first freeze-frame fool you, there’s no actual nudity in this video, so while it borders on being unsafe for work, ask yourself this: why are you watching videos at work?
