Some bands are beholden to their leader, like the Smashing Pumpkins behind central creative and star force Corgan; others, more commonly, exist equally in input but still surrender the spotlight to the singer, and probably for good reasons; think R.E.M.

Coldplay fall in the latter. Chris Martin is not the primary creative guy but he is most certainly the face. He is the band. He is married to a Gwyneth Paltrow. Who else is in even in Coldplay, anyway? What are those guys like? We wanted to learn more and to establish a clear pecking order in the band, so here are the top three other members in Coldplay Who Aren’t Chris Martin.

3. Guy Berryman, bass
	When he’s not nailing the groove down, Guy is just a regular …um, guy, who likes antiques, and even runs an antique store with his brother. We like a well-rounded, normal, everyday Guy.
2. Jonny Buckland, guitar
	Named the godfather of Chris Martin’s daughter Apple, Jonny is the next closest we can get to Chris Martin. He’s basically family. Actor Simon Pegg is also the godfather.
