Cat Power will release a new single on Christmas Eve

We’ve been waiting on that promised new Cat Power album for a little while now, but next week we’ll get a listen to some new recorded material when she releases a new single for charity download on Christmas Eve.
Chan Marshall has now said that the record is almost done, and that “In 9 days [I] will have a song available for holiday charity download.”
There will be a new song and video for purchase, as well as a list of charities so you can donate to one of your choosing. When Marshall does get her new LP out, it’ll be the first of new material since 2006’s (!) The Greatest. [via Twenty Four Bit]
